John Roberts received his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science in 2014 and Masters of Public Administration in 2016, both from the University of Alabama. Prior to his work at Freedom Real Estate & Capital, John worked for the Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association, the HSV/Madison County Chamber of Commerce and ran for U. S. Congress, 5th congressional district capturing 13% of the vote in 2022. He has been a team member of Freedom Real Estate since September of 2022. John co-founded the North Alabama Homebuilding Academy, a free workforce development school that provides individuals the foundational skills to begin a career in the construction trades. He is a graduate of Leadership Greater Huntsville’s C-21 and is active with the University of Alabama’s Blackburn Institute.

The greenways scattered throughout the area.

What is a fun fact about you?

I didn’t miss a single day of school from kindergarten through 12th grade. And to top it off, I brought a PB&J sandwich for lunch every single day during that time too.

The best part about working in Huntsville is how dynamic our business community is. The defense and aerospace presence naturally provides a lot of unique opportunities in the market.

What is your best piece of advice for starting a career in Rocket City?

Find someone to help mentor you in your career. One of the many great things about Huntsville is that the top professionals in your industry are accessible and typically willing to help.
