Hattie B’s Hot Chicken to open first Huntsville location at Stadium Commons

Huntsville’s culinary scene is set to explode with yet another regional favorite added to the growing pantheon.

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken announced that the Nashville-based franchise will be opening its first Huntsville location at Stadium Commons. The new restaurant, which will occupy a 2,800 square foot standalone building, is expected to open in late 2025.

Nick Bishop, Jr., Co-founder of Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, expressed enthusiasm about the new location and the development that is adding to the growth of John Hunt Park.

“We’ve had our eye on Huntsville for some time and Stadium Commons is a great fit for us. It will be a unique experience and destination in Huntsville, and we’re excited to be part of this cool project,” stated Bishop, Jr.

Stadium Commons, located off South Memorial Parkway across from the newly renovated Joe Davis Stadium, is the first phase of a larger mixed-use development.

The area will feature retail spaces, food and beverage options, multi-family housing, a parking garage, and an on-site hotel. The location is highly visible, with an estimated daily traffic of 120,809 vehicles, and is close to residential neighborhoods and Downtown Huntsville’s business district.

Stadium Commons is being developed and leased by Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate Group. Key partners include Brasfield & Gorrie as the general contractor, Smith Gee Studio as architects, Kiser Vogrin Design as landscape architects, and Schoel Engineering as the civil engineer.

This new addition is part of Crunkleton’s ongoing efforts to develop Stadium Commons into a vibrant mixed-use area that serves as a community hub in Huntsville.
