HSV company wins second Defense Logistics Agency Contract to strengthen cybersecurity for Digital Twins

Sentar, Inc., a women-owned small business specializing in advanced cyber-intelligence solutions, has secured a new contract with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to enhance cybersecurity measures for digital twins.

Digital twins, virtual models of physical machines, are increasingly used in manufacturing and other industries.

Protecting them from cyber threats is essential to safeguarding both physical equipment and digital assets.

This marks Sentar’s second cybersecurity-focused contract with the DLA this year.

The first contract involved integrating Sentar’s cyber-attack analysis and prediction technology into digital twin systems. With this new contract, Sentar will develop security protocols to protect the data flow between Operational Technology (OT) devices and their digital twins.

The company will focus on continuous verification, least privilege access, and network segmentation to mitigate cyber risks in manufacturing environments.

“We are proud to collaborate with the Defense Logistics Agency on this vital project,” said Gary Mayes, Sentar’s Senior Director of Research and Development. “As cyber-attacks on industrial systems continue to rise, our solutions are designed to address the need for enhanced, integrated cybersecurity measures. This partnership further demonstrates our dedication to protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure.”

The project’s ultimate goal is to ensure secure and resilient communication between physical systems and their digital counterparts, enabling continuous operations while safeguarding sensitive data.
