OLLI at UAH to showcase Fall 2025 offerings at upcoming open house
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (OLLI at UAH) will host an open house on Friday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at Wilson Hall on the UAH campus. The event will provide information about the programs and activities planned for the fall 2025 semester, which are designed for individuals interested in continuing education and lifelong learning.
OLLI at UAH is a member-based learning community for adults aged 50 and older. The upcoming open house, which is free and open to the public, offers an opportunity for prospective members to meet instructors, board members, and staff, and to review the course schedule for the fall 2025 semester.
“OLLI’s strength lies in inviting adults to expand their horizons and to explore new experiences in a supportive community,” said Phil Graham, OLLI board president. “OLLI is where curiosity thrives!”
OLLI will offer more than 70 classes this fall. There will be 19 bonus lectures and special events that are free with OLLI membership, as well as eight member interest groups ranging from Tai Chi to the OLLI Reads book club.
Most of OLLI’s high-quality, low-cost activities happen in person on the UAH campus, but there are also a few road trips and virtual programs.
A new addition to OLLI at UAH this year is the OLLI Merch Store, which launched on July 11 and is accessible through the OLLI webpage. The store offers a variety of items, including clothing and travel accessories. A portion of the proceeds from each sale supports OLLI’s 501(c)(3) organization, contributing to the program’s continued development.
