‘REALTORS® in Action’ holds 4th Annual event highlighting REALTOR® Safety Month & Domestic Violence Awareness

September 5, 2025/in Charities, Community Development, Development, Events, Featured, Health, News, Nonprofits, Real Estate, Resource/by staff reports

The Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS® is encouraging the public to take part in its fourth annual Standing Against Domestic Violence event, which aims to help participants recognize, report, and prevent domestic violence while offering support to survivors in the community. Admission is free and the first 100 attendees will receive a boxed lunch.

Local residents can register for this event by emailing outreach@valleymls.com or visiting https://tinyurl.com/HSVrealtors.

Although the event will include short presentations, the emphasis is on connecting attendees with organizations they may not yet know. Local groups that respond to domestic violence and continue working with survivors long after a crisis will be featured.

Attendees will hear directly from these organizations about their missions, their stories, and how the community can help. Organizations confirmed to attend are National Children’s Advocacy Center, Crisis Services of North Alabama, SEVEDA, Greater Huntsville Humane Society, and several others.

The public’s presence and support can help break the cycle and build hope for those affected by domestic violence. Donations will be accepted at the event and will be equally distributed among the participating charities.
