Big Tops, BBQ, and Holiday Cheer: What’s Happening at MidCity This Fall

MidCity District has announced its lineup of fall activities. The schedule includes the following events:

Oktoberfest at The Camp
5909 University Drive NW

Celebrate Oktoberfest at The Camp with beer and food specials running all day on Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4. Live music will also be available with Carver Commodore featuring Local Brand playing at 7:00pm on Friday, Joe Canada playing from 2-5pm and the Emily Joseph Band playing on stage at 7pm on Saturday.

Venardos Circus

Back by popular demand, the Venardos Circus (veh-NARR-dos), a Broadway-style animal-free circus, is returning to Huntsville! This spectacular show will be held in MidCity District from October 20 – November 3, 2025. This season the wondrous Venardos Circus cast will take audiences on a journey under the big top as it unveils a fresh and magical experience for fans with their new show, “Far Beyond.” The show features an original score, amazing performers, stunning lighting, and dazzling costumes. The 2025 Venardos Circus is traveling with a custom-crafted, Italian-made, red-and-white striped tent that offers expanded seating around a central stage for an immersive experience. Mark your calendars and get your tickets now!

MidCity Pumpkin Patch

Friday, October 3rd – Friday, October 31st
Hours: Friday and Saturday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm / Sunday: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

The MidCity Pumpkin Patch is back again on the weekends during the month of October. Shoppers can find pumpkins, mums, gourds, and MORE! Stock up on all your fall needs with MidCity this October! The Pumpkin Patch will be located in The Camp’s Northeast parking lot and will be hosted by Reed’s Farms.

MidCity Monster Mash

Tuesday, October 7th – Saturday, November 1st

MidCity Monster Mash is back for another year of tricks and treats. From October 7th – November 1st MidCity partners with The Camp to create spooky and fun experiences for guests like their annual costume contest, Glow Party, Halloween-themed cocktails and food, LIVE music every weekend, pumpkin patch, spooky characters, and all the Instagram-worthy photo opps. This pop-up event is FREE to visit.

Whistlestop BBQ Festival

Friday, October 17th and Saturday, October 18th

A beloved North Alabama tradition since 2001, WhistleStop returns October 17th & 18th, 2025, to the vibrant MidCity District! Presented by the Apollo Coalition, this year’s festival features a new contest, fantastic music, and more!

Holiday Market at MidCity

Sunday, November 9th 11:00am-4:00pm

MidCity is excited to host the annual Holiday Market on Sunday, November 9th from 11am – 4pm! Along with shopping local, patrons can expect festive drinks, delicious food, artisan coffee, hot cocoa, Santa and Mrs. Claus, Christmas carolers, Holiday characters greeting guests, a bounce house, face painting, vintage finds, local ingredients for holiday meals, baked goods, crafts, endless holiday gifts, prepared foods, food trucks, food and drink options from the restaurants in MidCity, LIVE music, and more! MidCity District is an Entertainment District; therefore, shoppers can sip and shop throughout the afternoon.

Sponsors for the MidCity Fall and Winter events include The Prewitt Group, Renewal by Anderson, and Tito’s. Event partners include Windham Entertainment, RCP Companies, The Camp, and the Apollo Coalition.

Parking can be found throughout MidCity District and shoppers are asked to utilize entrances at Old Monrovia, University Drive, and the entrance at MidCity Way and Research Park Boulevard.
