Nonprofit professionals, board members, and volunteers across North Alabama will gather for a one-day nonprofit conference on Tuesday, May 12, at the Von Braun Center.

Hosted by the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, the annual NAVIGATE conference focuses on providing nonprofit leaders with knowledge, strategies, and networking opportunities.

The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and offers professional development for individuals at various stages of nonprofit work.

This year’s conference features 12 distinct learning tracks, allowing attendees to customize their experience based on their roles and organizational needs. Tracks include Nonprofit 101, Governance, Organizational Leadership, Nonprofit Finance, and Grantwriting, along with additional sessions covering fundraising, marketing, board development, and community engagement.

The conference will also feature keynote speaker Alison Kling, CEO of Free 2 Teach, who will present “Lead with How: From Identity to Impact.” In her keynote, Kling introduces her “Lead with How” framework, a practical and powerful approach that helps nonprofits uncover how their daily work connects directly to their mission and vision, and how to communicate that impact with clarity and confidence.

“With so many demands on nonprofit organizations, it’s critical to have opportunities like this to refocus, learn, and connect,” said Ann Kvach, Vice President of Community Impact at the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville. “We are committed to building the capacity of the nonprofits our donors support, and NAVIGATE provides practical strategies and inspiration to help them strengthen their impact.”

Participants will have opportunities throughout the day to network, exchange ideas, and build relationships that extend beyond the event.

The conference is designed for nonprofit staff, executive leaders, board members, volunteers, and anyone interested in supporting the nonprofit community.

Registration is now open. Tickets are $85 per person through April 30th . Ticket prices will increase to $100 on May 1st.
