A Decade of Impact: Aum Foundation Celebrates 10 Years of Bollywood Night

September 4, 2026/in Education, Employment, Entertainment, Events, Featured, Lead, News, Nonprofits, Philanthropy, Workforce Development/by staff reports

For ten years, Aum Foundation’s Bollywood Night has brought together Huntsville’s business and philanthropic communities for an evening of culture, celebration and purpose. On September 19, the organization will celebrate a major milestone as the 10th Annual Bollywood Night returns to the Von Braun Center.

What began as a fundraiser has grown into Aum Foundation’s signature annual event and an important source of support for programs helping young women throughout North Alabama pursue education, build professional skills and prepare for economically independent futures.

Founded in Huntsville, Aum Foundation works to empower young women through education, mentorship and opportunity. The organization’s programs connect students with mentors, scholarships, career exploration experiences, college and workforce preparation, and personal and professional development.

Over the past decade, Aum Foundation has served more than 450 young women and today reaches students across Huntsville, Madison County, Morgan County, Limestone County and Dallas County. Each year, the Foundation awards more than $100,000 in scholarships to help students continue their education. Through Aum Foundation’s ACT preparation support, participating students have increased their ACT scores by an average of approximately 2.5 points, helping strengthen their college admission and scholarship opportunities.

That growth has been made possible in large part through partnerships with businesses, organizations and individuals throughout the community.

“Bollywood Night is a celebration, but it is also an investment in the future of the young women we serve,” said Alka Bhargav, Founder of Aum Foundation. “For the past 10 years, our community has continued to show up for our students, and we are incredibly grateful for the businesses and individuals who believe in their potential.”

Bringing Huntsville’s Business Community Together

Bollywood Night has become an opportunity for companies and community leaders to support Aum Foundation’s mission while gathering for one of the organization’s most anticipated events of the year.

The 2026 celebration, presented by Bank of America, will recognize “A Decade of Impact” while looking toward the organization’s next chapter.

Guests can expect an evening inspired by the energy and color of Bollywood, while learning more about the students and programs their support makes possible.

For Aum Foundation, corporate partnerships extend beyond financial contributions. Local professionals and businesses help introduce students to careers, provide mentorship, open their workplaces for career exploration experiences and give young women access to networks and opportunities they may not otherwise encounter.

These relationships allow students to see firsthand what is possible for their futures.

An Invitation to Invest in the Next Generation

As the 10th Annual Bollywood Night approaches, Aum Foundation is continuing to welcome businesses and community partners interested in sponsoring this year’s celebration.

Sponsorship directly supports the Foundation’s work with young women and provides businesses with an opportunity to invest in the development of North Alabama’s future workforce and community leaders.

“Every mentor, sponsor, volunteer and community partner becomes part of our students’ stories,” Bhargav said. “As we celebrate 10 years, we are also thinking about the next 10 and how many more young women we can reach with the continued support of this community.”

The 10th Annual Aum Foundation Bollywood Night will take place Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville.

Businesses and individuals interested in attending, sponsoring Bollywood Night or learning more about Aum Foundation can visit the Aum Foundation website for additional information.
