What do you love most about living and working in Huntsville?
Huntsville is rich with talent and creativity, and it’s exciting to watch our community grow. What I love most is that innovation and faith can still coexist here, creating a community where you can pursue excellence in business without losing what matters most.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Focus less on proving yourself and more on building people. Leadership isn’t about being the smartest in the room. It’s about aligning a team around a clear vision and helping them achieve the organization’s goals.
What motivates you on hard days?
Passion and purpose keep me going. The work can be challenging, especially while balancing business and family, but helping someone achieve a goal or seeing a team gain momentum is rewarding and worth the effort.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
I love being with my husband and two children, whether that’s traveling, being outdoors, or cheering from the sidelines at their activities. I also enjoy reading, writing, and investing in personal growth.
How do you like to give back to the community, and why is it important to you?
I serve on the board of The Downtown Rescue Mission and on the finance committee for His Way Recovery Center, supporting organizations focused on life change and restoration. While I may not share every struggle they face, I understand the need for hope and support, and I believe we’re all called to steward whatever platform we’ve been given to help others find both.
What’s your “why don’t we have this yet?” business idea for Huntsville?
I’d love to see Huntsville develop a full-scale destination experience, something families don’t have to travel for, like a regional amusement or themed park. As our city grows, opportunities to create memorable, family-centered experiences will help us retain talent and strengthen community.
Who has been the biggest influence on your career, and what valuable lesson did they teach you?
Growing up with a visual impairment shaped how I approach business. I learned early that limitations can fuel resilience, creativity, and perseverance. My faith and strong mentors reinforced that leadership is about clarity, accountability, and building systems that help others win, even when circumstances aren’t perfect.
