DEFTEC, a women-owned small business specializing in government contracting solutions, will hold an open house to mark the grand reopening of its Huntsville headquarters. The event, scheduled for Aug. 12 from 3 to 6 p.m., will highlight the company’s expansion in the region and is open to employees, industry partners and members of the community.

DEFTEC CEO Linda Harris, who acquired the company in 2023, will host the event. Since the acquisition, the company has expanded its presence in Huntsville, including securing what DEFTEC says is its largest contract to date.

“Our growth in Huntsville reflects both the dedication of our team and the importance of the work we deliver,” said Harris. “We are committed to expanding our support to the Huntsville defense and technology community and continuing to invest in innovation, talent, and partnerships here.”

The open house will include guided tours of the facility, program showcases, networking opportunities and remarks from company leadership.

According to the company, DEFTEC plans to continue expanding its Huntsville operations as it provides government contracting services to federal agencies and industry partners.
