Sigmatech lands historic $249 million contract from Army
The Army has awarded Sigmatech a 10-year, $249 million contract, the Department of Defense announced.
The $249,213,547 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract is the largest in company history. The previous highest award was $234 million with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command last year.
Sigmatech was founded in 1986 by Dr. Gurmej S. Sandhu with a focus on providing systems engineering and technical assistance to the Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center at Redstone Arsenal.
According to a DoD news release, the Small Business Innovation Research Phase III award is for the implementation, integration, sustainment, and continuous evolution of capabilities that form a digitally enabled enterprise decision environment.
The work location has yet to be determined. The estimated completion date is Oct. 25, 2036.
The Army Contracting Command on Redstone Arsenal is the contracting activity.
