Laken Laird – LSINC Corporation – Vice President of Business Affairs

Laken is currently Vice President of Business Affairs at LSINC, where she has worked for nearly a decade. During her time at the company, Laken has helped facilitate LSINC’s expansion locally and globally, with Huntsville-made equipment from LSINC now residing with customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Poland, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates and with additional countries expected to be added to the roster in 2024. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alabama in 2009 and her Masters of Arts in Diplomacy and International Relations in 2011 from Seton Hall University. She is involved with the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, and a Lifetime Fellow with the Blackburn Institute for Ethical Leadership.

Where is your favorite place to kick back and relax in Huntsville? 

Downtown Huntsville rooftops and patios 

What is a fun fact about you?

I grew up in Opp, Alabama, the home of the Rattlesnake Rodeo! 

What is the best part about working in Huntsville?

One of my favorite things about working in Huntsville is that the diversity of industry here has created an eclectic workforce that collaborates on a daily basis to create things that change the status quo. 

What is your best piece of advice for starting a career in Rocket City?

Find a way to plug into the community and get to know people who share similar passions. You never know what connection might help you out along your path one day.
