Mica Rice is a project manager with SAIC serving the Aviation & Missile Center on Redstone Arsenal. Mica is a Huntsville native, graduate of Lee High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2012. Currently, Mica is working on a Masters in Public Administration from Southern University and is expected to graduate in Spring 2025. She has a passion for helping others succeed, and is a part of the Committee of 100 and the National Children’s Advocacy Center YPAC.

What is a fun fact about you?

Although my family is from Huntsville, I was born in England. In 2023, my 75 year old father and I traveled back to celebrate King Charles coronation with our family.

What is the best part about working in Huntsville?

One of my favorite things about working in Huntsville is that there is a lot of opportunity here which has produced a healthy industry full of great competition.

What is your best piece of advice for starting a career in Rocket City?

Don’t be afraid if the entry level position doesn’t look like your dream job. A lot can happen over a few years of strong work ethic and meaningful relationships.
