HUNTSVILLE, AL – Attention Huntsville business owners – it’s once again time to renew operating licenses for 2024. The deadline for renewal without penalty is Jan. 31.

Through the City of Huntsville’s user-friendly online portal, a streamlined renewal process makes it easier than ever to do business in Huntsville.

“Since the onset of the pandemic, our online portal has helped thousands renew their licenses at their desk – no stamps or envelopes necessary,” said Penny Smith, the City’s Director of Finance. “Just follow the steps on your renewal form or the website.”

New businesses can apply for a license through the portal or in person at City Hall, located downtown at 308 Fountain Circle. Existing businesses must reapply online.
