August 24, 2022/in Community Development, Events, Featured, Food, News, People/by staff reports

Huntsville, AL. – (August 16, 2022) – Amerigo, an upscale-casual neighborhood Italian restaurant, will open its first Huntsville location at The Market at Hays Farm on Memorial Parkway later this month. Amerigo is part of Nashville-based 4Top Hospitality, a multi-concept independent restaurant group with 14 locations across the Southeast, including the popular Char Restaurant which opened in 2019 at Merchants Square. Amerigo will open to the public on Monday, August 29.

“We have received such a warm welcome from the Huntsville community for our first local restaurant, Char, that we immediately began looking for a location to open Amerigo,” said Doug Hogrefe, partner, 4Top Hospitality.

Amerigo6“Huntsville continues to grow and thrive, and it has proven to be the perfect city to expand our restaurant group. We look forward to opening Amerigo at Hays Farm and providing a community spot to gather with family and friends.”

Amerigo’s menu will include a variety of pastas, including five-layer lasagna, smoked chicken ravioli, pasta carbonara, veal parmesan and chicken piccata. The menu will also feature a modern spin on traditional Italian dishes such as hand-tossed pizzas, fresh seafood, a 16oz Tuscan ribeye, and veal saltimbocca, many of which can be served gluten-free.

Robust menus for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch are offered as well as a $6 kids menu (including a beverage), daily early bird specials from 4 – 6 p.m., and happy hour in the lounge area Monday – Thursday. Over 50 wines are available from the bar, along with a selection of signature cocktails and regional and imported beers. For guests looking to enjoy a meal on the go, Amerigo will offer curbside pickup and family-style catering for offsite events.

Amerigo’s interior design contains warm finishes, modern and classic light fixtures, and white tablecloths. The 215-seat restaurant will also include a spacious bar, outdoor patio area, and private dining room for up to 60 guests. Local partners Joe Still Building Company, Anusha Alapati with Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate,  and Matheny Goldman, respectively, provided construction, brokerage, and architecture and design services for the restaurant.
