Millot is tasked with coordinating the efforts of those members of the UAH community who are responsible for carrying out Title IX investigations. She brings a wealth of experience to the position. In addition to her work in Philadelphia, she has served as Institutional Compliance Officer, Title IX Coordinator and Section 504 Coordinator at Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo.

“It is an honor and privilege to step into this role at UAH,” Millot says. “I am excited to work transparently and collaboratively to ensure a harassment-free living, learning and working environment for all students, faculty, staff and guests, while expanding the compliance infrastructure to better protect individuals and the institution.”

In addition to her most recent experience, Millot acted as Executive Director, Title IX Coordinator, Section 504, for New Mexico State University, as well as Hearing Examiner, Arbitrator and Mediator for the State of Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission.

“I’m excited to welcome Lauri Millot to her new position here at UAH,” says UAH President Charles L. Karr. “She possesses a great deal of experience in the area of Title IX law and institutional compliance and coordination, and we know she will be a valuable addition to our staff in helping UAH continue to meet its responsibilities as a university to uphold this important regulation to ensure equal opportunities for all.”

Millot received her Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater and her Doctor of Law Jurisprudence degree from the University of Toledo College of Law.

This is a contributing post from Russ Nelson of UAH.
