Hays Farm adds two additional developments to ever-growing list
In the heart of the growing Hays Farm development, a wave of transformation was underway this week, bridging commerce and community. Freedom Real Estate and Capital initiated the groundbreaking ceremony for a 54,000 square foot office marvel. This inaugural structure marked the first of two buildings for Freedom at the location and is destined to redefine the landscape at the corner of Hayes Lynn Road, in close proximity to Grissom High School.
After the dirt hit the earth, Bill Roark, CEO of Freedom Real Estate and Capital, shared his excitement.
“It’s a monumental moment, breaking ground on a new 54,000 square foot building,” he exclaimed.
Nestled just a 10-minute drive away from the downtown i-565 Memorial Parkway interchange, this venture embodied the essence of urban connectivity.
“Moving the high school, fostering a residential community, and welcoming apartments and retail; this is a remarkable live, work, play, urban development,” Mayor Tommy Battle added.
The office space is expected to be operational within the next year.
Meanwhile, another facet of the Hays Farm tapestry was unfurling nearby, ushering in a vibrant mixed-use project known as The Jessam on the Park. This endeavor, designed by Colliers, is now officially ready for new tenants and is set to offer a blend of residential and retail spaces, all overlooking the picturesque Park at Hays Farm. Here, the essence of community living and commercial dynamism aim to coexist.
The Jessam on the Park, a three-story 32-unit apartment building with a generous 15,893 square feet of ground-level restaurant and retail spaces, is a testament to contemporary urban living. In addition to the apartments, two more structures also exist—a second building boasting 4,200 square feet of restaurant space, and a third spanning 12,331 square feet of primarily retail space.
Beyond its immediate property line, The Jessam on the Park is part of a vibrant ecosystem. The Hays Farm neighborhood boasts The Market at Hays Farm, anchored by Publix, and is home to retail giants like Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Sam’s.
All of this is set against the backdrop of The Park—a 9-acre oasis of green space.
In the evolving narrative of Hays Farm, the fusion of business, community, and nature is a compelling narrative, destined to play a permanent role in the “live, work, play” vision for Huntsville.
