Robins & Morton completes U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center on Redstone Arsenal

HUNTSVILLE, AL – Construction firm Robins & Morton and COPT Defense Properties celebrated the completion of U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, the Redstone Gateway 300 building, on Redstone Arsenal.

The three-story building, located on Secured Gateway, features 200,000 square feet of Class A office space and a 15,000-square-foot warehouse constructed with concrete tilt wall panels. It will be occupied by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville Center, enabling the agency to consolidate its workforce in one location.

The facility includes a combination of private and open office areas, collaborative spaces, a large training room — which can be divided into four separate rooms — a dining area, fitness center, and conference room for the commander.

This building is significant for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, serving as a central conference and nationwide collaboration hub.

“We are grateful for our longstanding partnership with COPT Defense Properties and the opportunity to build this project that will serve the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,” Senior Superintendent Brendan Kenny said. “It’s been exciting to support the growth of Redstone Gateway since 2010, and we look forward to its continued growth in the future.”

This project represents the fifth multi-story tilt-wall building constructed by Robins & Morton in the office park since 2020. It is also pursuing LEED certification.

Robins & Morton served as the general contractor, and Nola Van Peursem Architects was the architect.
