Blake Redmond is a Madison County local and has served as President of the Redmond Construction Company since 2017. Prior to his time at Redmond Construction, he worked for Turner Construction as a Self Perform Operations (SPO) Project Manager. He attended Madison County High School, received a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction in 2006 from Auburn University, and earned a Masters in Business Administration from UAH in 2010. Blake has overseen a variety of projects throughout town, including improvements to Redstone Arsenal, the FBI campus, and UAH. Blake is the proud father of Rex and Cecilia Redmond.

I have hiked 800 miles of the Appalachian Trail

What is the best part about working in Huntsville?

I am proud of my contributions to landmark organizations such as Huntsville Botanical Gardens, The Westin Huntsville, NASA, FBI, Lockheed Martin, and the University of Alabama Huntsville. The speed of Huntsville’s growth is amazing. It has been fun to be a part of our city’s growth.

What is your best piece of advice for starting a career in Rocket City?

Get involved with the community and meet as many people as possible. Networking and relationships are important. Huntsville is a rapidly growing city yet still has a small town feel. I rely on relationships going all the way back to middle/high school.
