DisruptHR Huntsville 2024 blasts off with rapid-fire insights into the Human Resources Industry
On August 20, 2024, over 100 attendees, speakers, and sponsors gathered at the Davidson Center of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center for the second annual DisruptHR Huntsville event.
The local chapter of this event is organized by Ben Eubanks, founder of HR Summer School.
For those unfamiliar, DisruptHR is an international series of events that happens all across and outside of the United States. The goal of the event is to bring together professionals to discuss and challenge traditional HR practices through informative presentations.
However, what makes this event special is its unique format.
Speakers present for just five minutes using 20 PowerPoint slides that auto-advance every fifteen seconds. These rapid-fire, micro presentations allow for a wide array of topics to be covered in a short timeframe.
The goal is to create a space for exchanging ideas and exploring the future of work, encouraging HR professionals and business leaders to rethink their approaches to talent management, employee engagement, and organizational culture.
With refreshments being served, a large panel of presenters speaking on various HR-related topics, sponsors with free giveaways, and George Rogers as the hilarious and high-energy emcee, the evening was an absolute blast.
Professionals in human resources, consulting, and federal contract management gained valuable knowledge from various perspectives, had the chance to network with one another, and got to mingle with the subject matter experts following the main-stage presentations.
Sponsors for the event included Passion HR Consulting, Lighthouse Services, UKG, and Rocket City HR Consulting.
