Matt Curtis Real Estate Completes 150th Home Build in Guatemala, Extending Global Mission of Service

September 15, 2025/in Charities, Community Development, Construction, Development, Featured, Housing, Lead, News, Real Estate/by staff reports

Matt Curtis Real Estate has announced the completion of its 150th home build in partnership with Casas por Cristo as part of the company’s Love Thy Neighbor initiative. This milestone reflects the team’s ongoing commitment to giving back and creating a lasting impact beyond real estate.

“We’re humbled to celebrate the completion of our 150th home for families in need,” said Matt Curtis, Founder and President of Matt Curtis Real Estate. “There’s no greater joy than seeing the smile on a family’s face when they receive the keys to their very first home. It’s a reminder that our work is about more than houses—it’s about changing lives and changing family trees.”

The Love Thy Neighbor program is a cornerstone of the company’s mission. For every 100 homes sold locally, Matt Curtis Real Estate funds the construction of a home for a family in Central America. To date, this initiative has provided safe and secure housing for over 150 families, offering hope and stability for generations to come.

This year’s milestone build in Guatemala was marked by community, worship, and celebration. Matt also took part in the dedication ceremony, shared meals, and built lasting relationships within the community.

Matt Curtis Real Estate has long been recognized for its industry leadership—8,000+ homes sold, $2 billion in real estate closings, over 4,000 5-Star reviews, and multiple national and local awards, including five-time Inc. 5000 honoree and two-time “Best Place to Work” winner. Yet Curtis emphasizes that the company’s deeper mission is what defines its legacy: “To whom much is given, much is expected.”

Matt Curtis Real Estate said it plans to continue expanding its services in North Alabama and other markets, while maintaining its support of the Love Thy Neighbor Project, which funds community and international outreach efforts.
