Summit 7 ranked globally among managed service providers
It’s pride-inspiring for a company when it’s ranked among the best in the world.
For Summit 7, it has been double-inspiring in June.
Early in the month, the Huntsville-based managed service provider was named to the CRN Solution Provider 500 list. CRN, a media brand of The Channel Company, recognized Summit 7 as No. 196 on its CRN Solution Provider 500 list. It’s Summit 7’s fourth year on the list.
Then, last week, Summit 7 was ranked No. 25 on the 2026 MSP Summit’s MSP 501 list, a competitive global ranking in the managed services industry.
Unlike traditional lists that reward size alone, the MSP 501 recognizes organizations that demonstrate sustainable growth, recurring revenue strength, profit optimization, and the strategic discipline that defines true industry leadership, according to a news release.
In just three years, Summit 7 has grown from 100 employees to more than 300, earning national recognition on the CRN Fast Growth 150 and Inc. 5000 lists.
“We’re honored to be recognized among the top managed service providers worldwide,” said CEO Scott Edwards. “We’ve earned our MSP 501 ranking through the strength of our team, the trust of our customers, and our commitment to securing the nation’s most sensitive data.”
Summit 7 supports the military through advanced cybersecurity, compliance, and cloud solutions. The high ranking in the MSP 501 affirms the company’s role as a strategic partner to organizations navigating complex compliance and security requirements.
“It’s Summit 7’s privilege to offer top-tier solutions across all corners of the Defense Industrial Base, serving a plethora of national missions,” Edwards said. “We were first recognized by the CRN Service Provider 500 list in 2023 and have steadily climbed the list in the years since.”
CRN’s annual Solution Provider 500 list recognizes North America’s largest solution providers by revenue and serves as a prominent benchmark of leading IT services companies such as Summit 7.
“The Solution Provider 500 list highlights those companies generating the highest revenue through leadership in business and service innovation,” said Jennifer Follett, vice president, U.S. content, executive editor at CRN. “This recognition highlights those organizations that consistently demonstrate agility and sustained growth amid rapidly evolving industry demands and technological change.”
The Channel Company accelerates success across strategic channels for tech vendors, solution providers and end users with premier media brands, integrated marketing and event services, strategic consulting, and exclusive market and audience insights.
It is a milestone achievement to rank as high as 25th on a list of 501 exceptional companies. The MSP 501 survey uses a quantitative methodology developed in collaboration with industry-leading experts, the MSP Summit Board, and past MSP 501 winners.
“The 2026 MSP 501 winners represent the highest-performing and most innovative IT providers in the industry today. Everyone wants to be a 501 because they stand head and shoulders above the competition,” said Robert DeMarzo, vice president of content, Channel Events. ”Today’s managed services organizations serve as the backbone to the world’s small, medium, and large organizations, and the MSP 501 sets the standard for all other MSPs. These managed service providers aren’t just keeping pace with the industry — they’re actively shaping the future of managed services.
“Making the MSP 501 list is a testament to their commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and their ability to deliver exceptional value to their clients in an increasingly complex technology landscape.”
MSP Summit said the ranking rewards MSPs with long-term financial health and viability, commitment to recurring revenue, and operational efficiency. The MSP 501 recognizes managed service providers that demonstrate technical excellence, business efficiency, and consistent growth.
Companies on this year’s list were evaluated using a methodology that analyzes revenue mix and quality, recurring revenue strength, operational performance, and long‑term stability.
