Palantir Vanguard Partner PVM Expands to Huntsville, Plans Local Hiring

A veteran-owned technology firm specializing in Palantir implementation services has established a permanent Huntsville presence as the U.S. Army expands its use of data and artificial intelligence platforms across the defense enterprise.

PVM, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business founded by retired Navy officer Pat Mack, opened a Huntsville office on June 23rd with six employees and plans to grow to between 15 and 20 workers by the end of the year.

The expansion comes as the Army recently consolidated 75 separate contracts into a single enterprise agreement with Palantir Technologies worth up to $10 billion, a move expected to increase demand for implementation and support services across Army organizations, including those at Redstone Arsenal.

“For the commands at Redstone, that work has to be built on the ground, and we believe it should be built by people who live here,” said Mindy Howland, PVM’s Director of Growth.

Today, the company provides what it calls “Palantir enablement services,” helping government organizations implement software platforms, develop operational use cases and translate data into mission outcomes. Rather than selling Palantir licenses, PVM works with customers that have already adopted the technology and need assistance deploying it effectively.

That expertise recently earned PVM a place in Palantir’s Vanguard Partner Program, the company’s highest partnership tier. According to PVM, it is one of only four organizations worldwide selected for the program’s U.S. Government track and the only service-disabled  veteran-owned small business among them.

“We were chosen based on our delivery track record supporting Palantir users across the federal government,” Howland said. “It’s Palantir’s way of telling customers these are the partners they trust to help implement and deliver value from the platform.”

PVM says it has supported more than 10,000 Palantir users during the past decade while building a reputation as a trusted partner for federal agencies and military organizations.

Howland said Huntsville was a natural choice for expansion because of its concentration of defense, aerospace and technology talent, particularly professionals already familiar with Palantir systems.

“We know there’s Palantir expertise here,” she said. “We’re committed to building a team on the ground and hiring locally.”

The company is currently recruiting engineers and deployment strategists for Huntsville-based positions and expects local hiring to remain a top priority as the office grows.

PVM’s recent growth has also brought recognition for its founder. Earlier this year, the U.S. Small Business Administration’s South Florida District Office named Mack its 2025 Veteran Small Business Owner of the Year, recognizing his leadership, innovation and commitment to public service.

The company enters the Huntsville market with support from Huntsville-based Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation, which serves as PVM’s mentor through the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Mentor-Protégé Program.

While company officials declined to discuss specific Redstone Arsenal programs, Howland said Huntsville represents a long-term investment as demand for advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities continues to grow across the defense sector.

While Palantir’s predictive policing software Gotham has drawn public attention in recent years, HBJ confirmed with Howland that PVM’s Huntsville operations will support defense and national security missions and do not involve local government programs or any local surveillance that could potentially affect the privacy of Huntsville residents.

“Our customers are federal customers,” Howland said. “We serve those who serve.” For PVM, the Huntsville office represents more than geographic expansion.

“What growth means for us is being able to serve more missions,” Howland said. “It’s not about profit or revenue. It comes back to why Pat founded the business, which is to bring these capabilities to the people serving on the front lines and help them accomplish their missions.”

As Huntsville continues to attract defense, artificial intelligence and data analytics investment, PVM is capitalizing on the Rocket City’s deep ties to national security and growing technical workforce as it begins its next chapter.
