Orion Amphitheater Announces Chris Stapleton Tour Date
The Orion Amphitheater has announced multi-award winning singer-songwriter and guitarist Chris Stapleton will bring his ‘All American Road Show’ tour to Huntsville on July 28.
Stapleton is celebrating ‘Starting Over,’ with Huntsville marking a spot as the performer enters the seventh leg of his Road Show Tour, the first dates since the start of the pandemic.
His previous albums ‘From a Room: Volumes 1 and 2′ were both recorded in Nashville’s RCA Studio A and each debuted on the Billboard 200 in the number two spots.
More recently Stapleton appeared on Taylor Swift’s rerecorded 2021 “Red (Taylor’s Version)” album on the song “I Bet You Think About Me.”
The Lexington, Kentucky, native’s debut solo album “Traveller” was the top selling country album in 2016 and won him his first of five Grammy Awards in 2015 for Best Country Album.
He has channeled a number of musical styles over the years. Stapleton founded Southern rock band The Jompson Brothers touring from 2010 to 2013. He was also the front man for the bluegrass band The SteelDrivers from 2007 to 2010.
Stapleton’s music career doesn’t just include performing. He has writing credits on over 170 songs since moving to Nashville in 2001. Stapleton has also co-written six number one country songs including Luke Bryan’s “Drink a Beer” and Kenny Chesney’s “Never Wanted Nothing More,” which topped the charts for five weeks.
Special guests Elle King, known for her hit “Ex’s & Oh’s” and recent release “Drunk (And I Don’t Want to Go Home)” with Miranda Lambert, and Country Music Awards New Women of Country 2022 artist Madeline Edwards will be joining the tour. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 25, at 10am.
