The North Alabama International Trade Association (NAITA) announced that the NAITA FMS Industry Day featuring the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) will be presented on Thursday, April 13, at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration.

The NAITA Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Industry Day provides the business community with an update on the security assistance enterprise and FMS opportunities around the globe.

image004BG Brad Nicholson, Commanding General of the USASAC,will provide the Senior Leader Perspective on Security Assistance. USASAC Regional Operations personnel representing CENTCOM, INDOPACOM, SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, EUCOM, and AFRICOM will discuss FMS Across the Globe.

Ms. Ann Scott, Chief, G4 Services and Products Division, USASAC, will discuss how “Small Business Can Get Involved” in FMS and Special Programs. A panel discussion – “Collaboration to Meet FMS Demands” – will provide an industry perspective on how companies can participate and be  successful in the FMS process.

The event will conclude with a reception to network with speakers,  government representatives, and attendees in the Biergarten under the Saturn V Rocket.

The FMS mission is a fundamental tool of U.S. foreign policy and will continue to play a critical role in the Army Operating Concept 2020-2040 by shaping the environments of geographic Combatant Command (COCOM) regions to build partner capacity.

USASAC encourages strength in cooperation with 153 international partners by providing security assistance and FMS through materiel, training, education, and other services  to help our allies and partners strengthen their defensive capabilities, deter aggression, achieve  regional stability, and promote democratic values.

USASAC manages approximately 6,200 FMS cases valued at greater than $218 billion. As strengthening partnerships is a top priority for senior Army leadership, USASAC’s mission will bolster our nation’s ability to fight and win our nation’s wars today and into the future.

FMS Industry day 3 Star Sponsors include ITC Defense Corporation and Sigmatech, Inc. and Ambassador Sponsors include Alabama International Trade Center, PROJECTXYZ, Inc.,  PZI International Consulting, Inc., Star Lab Software, Total Computer Solutions, Inc., and Womble Bond  Dickinson.
