Altitude trampoline park celebrated grand reopening with several new attractions

The energy was electric in Huntsville this past weekend as Altitude Trampoline Park reopened its doors with a spectacular three-day celebration from April 4–6. Located at 6275 University Dr. NW, Suite 14, the park has undergone a major transformation, offering an entirely reimagined experience for jumpers of all ages.

The grand reopening was packed with activities and excitement, including a competitive 6×6 dodgeball tournament, a thrilling Ninja Course Challenge, vibrant GLOW Nights featuring a live DJ, and family-friendly entertainment like face painting and balloon artists. But it wasn’t just the events that drew a crowd — it was the unveiling of more than 10 brand-new attractions and a sleek, modern redesign.

“We are incredibly excited to unveil the transformed Altitude Trampoline Park to the Huntsville community,” said Ben Thomas, owner of Altitude Huntsville. “This relaunch is a testament to our commitment to providing unforgettable experiences for families. We’ve created a space where adventure meets fun, and we can’t wait to see the smiles on our guests’ faces.”

The revamped park now boasts 25 total attractions, up from the previous 15 — a change that required increased staffing and meticulous planning. The additions range from adrenaline-pumping features like the Strike Tower, Stunt Jump Airbag, and Two-Story Ninja Course, to more imaginative play with the Trapeze Airbag and gamified dodgeball. The redesign prioritizes visibility and safety, with open sight lines and a café for parents to relax while keeping an eye on their kids.

In an interview with HBJ, park owner Ben Thomas said the most exciting new addition is  the new “Toddler Zone,” created for children aged six months to four years.

“When you’re in the trampoline business, you’re usually not able to service those younger than five years old,” Thomas said. “We spent a lot of time designing what we call the Toddler Zone. It’s for that younger crowd who didn’t have attractions before the remodel. The new area allows parents to remain close within a couple of feet, while giving kids a space to work on balance and build their confidence.”

While the park originally opened in 2017, renovations had long been in the works. “We probably would have done the renovations earlier if not for COVID, but it gave us the opportunity to really see what the market wanted — which we took advantage of,” Thomas explained.

In fact, the overhaul was completed in just a few weeks without closing the park. “We remodeled section by section, working through the night to make it happen,” he said.

Since reopening, Altitude has already seen a significant uptick in attendance. “We’re up about 20% week over week,” Thomas shared. “We were on a steady rise from the time we opened in 2017 until we kind of plateaued in 2022. That’s when I spent about 6–12 months planning out the remodel and what vision I had for it.”

Despite owning multiple locations, Thomas remains focused on local connections. “The most important thing for us is community involvement. We don’t want to simply offer a product or service. I know most of our members personally, and it’s because of them that we’ve been able to stay in business the last seven years.”

Altitude Huntsville is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monthly memberships start at $10.99 and allow for daily visits.
