Thompson Gray Moves HQ to South Huntsville’s Hays Farm

December 10, 2025/in Community Development, Development, Employment, Events, Featured, Government, News, Success, Workforce Development/by staff reports

Thompson Gray has moved into its new headquarters at Hays Farm. The relocation reflects the company’s continued growth and its ongoing presence in the Huntsville region, where it supports Department of Defense customers.

The new headquarters is located in South Huntsville’s Hays Farm development, which includes retail and green space and is situated near Redstone Arsenal. The location places Thompson Gray closer to its workforce and customers in the area.

“This move reflects more than an address change. It is a strategic investment in our people, our work, and our presence in a growing part of Huntsville,” said Todd Johnston, President of Thompson Gray. “As a 100% employee-owned company, our success is shared, and this new space strengthens the foundation for our future.”

Company officials said the relocation reflects an effort to accommodate operational needs and employees as the company continues to grow. It also aligns with the broader momentum in South Huntsville, where Hays Farm is quickly becoming a hub for forward-thinking businesses.

“This is a meaningful move for us,” said Ron Gray, CEO of Thompson Gray. “My wife and I both grew up in South Huntsville, so returning here is personal. It is exciting to be part of this next chapter, not just for our company but for the community.”

Thompson Gray employs nearly 300 people and provides services including financial management, program support, logistics, and strategic operations. The company will operate from its new headquarters at Hays Farm as it continues its work supporting defense customers.
