Defense contract roundup: Yorktown Systems wins $51.5 million Air Force training contract

Yorktown Systems Group’s $51.5 million contract award leads this week’s list of Huntsville defense contract announcements.

The local company’s $51,565,132 firm-fixed-price five-year contract provides warfighter training support services for the Air Force Academy. 

The work will be performed at the academy and is expected to be complete by Aug. 2, 2031. 

Other Huntsville contract announcements:

  • Sigmatech has been awarded a $49,032,775 firm-fixed-price contract by the Air Force for systems engineering and technical assistance services.
    This contract provides for technical, system analysis, programmatic, requirements, and analytical support for Space Systems Delta 80, Directorate, Operations Integration and Directorate, Servicing, Mobility, and Logistics.
    Work will be performed at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida; and Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, and is expected to be completed by March 12, 2032. 
  • Torch Technologies was awarded a $12,395,054 contract modification by the Army for hardware in the loop systems of systems development, integration and testing support.
    The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $659,292,704.
    Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of July 22, 2027.
    The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is the contracting activity. 
  • General Dynamics Mission Systems has been awarded a $400,400,000 for Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture Tranche Three ground segment development.
    The contract provides for the software development, test and integration, and operations and maintenance of the ground segment mission and service applications required for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture Tranche Three capabilities.
    The work will be performed at Redstone Arsenal and other locations and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2030.
