Getting Your Cookie Fix: Coming Soon to Huntsville
It’s the stuff childhood memories are made of. Fresh homemade cookies, straight from the oven. Those sweet sirens of chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, oatmeal, and peanut butter; their warm aroma wafting through the kitchen. They rarely sat on the cooling rack for long.
When developing Cookie Fix, Founder and Chief Cookie Officer Amy Jason drew on fond childhood recollections for inspiration. As a result, Cookie Fix has grown into one of the most popular small-batch cookie shops in Homewood.
This tasty enterprise will be soon making its way to the Rocket City, with a tentative opening slated for November 2021. The newest location will be in a 1,232 square foot space on Pelham Avenue in Twickenham Square.
The shop’s owner, Paige Brown, is excited to bring the bakeshop to the neighborhood and share her love for delicious cookies and family-run businesses.
“When I consider what makes Cookie Fix special, I immediately think of the taste and quality,” said Brown. “The texture of each cookie is perfect because we have a unique baking process that yields tall cookies that are crisp on the outside and extra gooey on the inside.”
The cookies are loaded with high-quality ingredients, such as caramel, chocolate, toffee, espresso chunks, and more. Popular flavors include Salted Dark Chocolate Caramel, Pecan Sandie, Peanut Butter Bliss, Mochaccino, Funfetti, and classic Chocolate Chip. Batches are baked daily, so customers can expect fresh, delicious cookies.
Variety is the name of the game with a rotating cookie menu of more than 60 flavors. There’s even a cookie calendar!
Cookie Fix has locations in Homewood and Cahaba Heights, making Huntsville its third location.
Brown has had her mind set on bringing Cookie Fix to Huntsville for three years.
To prepare for the northward expansion, Brown and Jason took steps to ensure the same quality product and atmosphere as Cookie Fix’s Birmingham-based locations.
Brown’s proven success with the Taco Mama restaurant concept and other entrepreneurial ventures over the years establishes a solid track record, as well as a strong commitment to the Huntsville community.
“There were 100 reasons we chose Twickenham Square as our new location,” said Brown. “Years ago, I helped bring Taco Mama to the area and it has thrived at the development. We are ready to bring what we believe are some of the best cookies around to the area.”
Cookie Fix Huntsville will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to individual cookies, the shop will also offer catering with cookie trays, boxes, and decorative tins. Cookie cakes can be ordered for special occasions in sizes ranging from 8-16 inches.
Once the new location is up and running, locals will be drawn to Twickenham by the aroma of fresh baked cookies. They will only have to follow their noses. Or follow Cookie Fix on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
