Southern States Bank, a subsidiary of Southern States Bancshares (NDAQ: SSBK), announced the addition of their new Huntsville Market President, Senior Vice-President Chris Allen. In this role, he will be responsible for leading the bank while growing and originating new deposit and commercial loan relationships in the Madison County market.

With over a decade of experience specializing in commercial banking, Allen joins Southern States Bank from Regions Bank where he served as a Senior Vice President in the Commercial Banking group. Prior to that, he served in a variety of roles with an emphasis on commercial banking.

Allen earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Athens State University. He has served as an advisory board member of the Huntsville MS Society and has also served as a member of the Huntsville March of Dimes, past Board President of Friends Inc., and as a member of the Development Council for the Huntsville Hospital Foundation, among other organizations.
